Making our dream a reality was one of those things that just happened. It happened somewhere amidst years of flirting with ideas around our kitchen table, across five duty stations and throughout six deployments and asking ourselves all the hard questions. We gratefully collected cheerleaders along the way, until finally our dream was born: She Swank Too.
Six months after opening our first U.S. store in 2016, we knew we had to build more than just a place for people to shop. We needed to create something so much more valuable: a community. A place where other entrepreneurs would have access to pursue their business in a professional environment and strive to perfect their craft. A place where customers are made to feel like they are at home and are served with the utmost respect. An environment of sharing, collaborating and simply having a lot of fun. So we built it.
The new She Swank Marketplace has taken on a life of it’s own, and that is truly the real dream. We created a community-building marketplace that celebrates and supports independent, handmade, local-owned, military spouse and veteran brands. We built relationships with our neighbors, other small business owners, and community leaders. We built excitement with our customers although we know very well the energy of our supportive customers built us. Happily, 18-months in we can now say we have built momentum.
Come be a Localist and shop small with us. We’ll reopen April 29, 2018.
